Senior Security Engineer

About this role

Paradise Hospitality Group seeks a Senior Security Engineer to design and maintain security infrastructure protecting our platform and guest data. You will own critical security systems across our cloud environment, ensuring industry standards and compliance requirements are met. This role combines hands-on infrastructure security with strategic planning. You'll work with Go and Python to build automation, manage Kubernetes deployments securely, and implement identity and access controls using HashiCorp Vault. Your work directly impacts guest trust and platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for AWS infrastructure and containerized applications
• Build and maintain HashiCorp Vault deployments for secrets management and credential rotation
• Develop Go and Python tools to automate security scanning, compliance checks, and incident response
• Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments across platform architecture
• Lead security reviews for new services and infrastructure changes
• Document security policies and provide guidance to engineering teams on secure practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on security engineering or platform security experience
• Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience securing Kubernetes environments and container registries
• Experience with secrets management systems (Vault, KMS, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in Go or Python for building security tooling and automation
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services and identity/access management
