Software Engineer, Trading Infrastructure

Velocity Trading Group is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to design and build robust trading infrastructure and systems. You will work within the Engineering team to develop scalable solutions that support high-performance trading operations. This role focuses on systems architecture, code quality, and operational reliability. You'll collaborate with trading and platform teams to understand requirements and deliver systems that handle critical financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build trading infrastructure components and services
• Develop scalable systems to support high-volume trading operations
• Write maintainable, well-tested code following established standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement requirements
• Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
• Experience building distributed systems or infrastructure
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems programming language
