Nexus Analytics is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and help us unlock insights from data. You'll work on building predictive models that drive real business value and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve meaningful problems. In this mid-level role, you'll own projects end-to-end—from data exploration and model development to deployment and iteration. We value thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and a genuine curiosity about how data can shape decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy predictive models to address business challenges
- Explore, clean, and analyze datasets to uncover actionable insights
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define problems and validate solutions
- Document methodology and findings for technical and non-technical audiences
- Iterate on models based on performance metrics and stakeholder feedback
- Contribute to team knowledge through code reviews and best-practice sharing
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Experience shipping models or analyses to production (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with data visualization and exploratory data analysis
- Hands-on experience building machine learning or statistical models
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, or similar data analysis languages
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
