About this role
Nexus Analytics is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and own our data infrastructure. You'll build scalable pipelines, establish best practices, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role combines backend engineering rigor with analytics expertise.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve data reliably at scale
- Architect analytics infrastructure and data warehousing solutions
- Establish data quality standards, monitoring, and documentation practices
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to define data requirements
- Optimize pipeline performance and reduce infrastructure costs
- Mentor junior team members on data engineering best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years building production data systems or analytics infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to design systems for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience working cross-functionally with analytics and engineering teams
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT tools, or workflow orchestration
- Strong communication skills and ability to document technical decisions
- Strong proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or Go)
