About this role
Nexus Analytics is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security team. You will take ownership of protecting our systems and customer data from evolving threats. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement security solutions at scale, working across infrastructure, applications, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls to detect and prevent threats across systems and networks
- Lead security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration exercises
- Develop incident response procedures and lead investigation efforts when security events occur
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security practices into development pipelines
- Monitor security alerts and telemetry; triage and escalate findings appropriately
- Document security architecture and maintain runbooks for operational continuity
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related security roles
- Ability to communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated expertise in threat detection, vulnerability management, or incident response
- Experience with security tools, SIEM platforms, or log analysis
- Strong understanding of network security, systems hardening, and authentication mechanisms
- Track record of delivering security initiatives in production environments
