Backend Engineer, Mid-Level

Nexus Analytics is hiring a Backend Engineer to design and build robust systems that power our platform. You'll own the architecture and implementation of scalable backend services, working closely with a talented engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and shipping reliable code.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
• Build and maintain data pipelines and processing systems
• Optimize database queries and system performance
• Write well-tested, production-ready code with clear documentation
• Collaborate with frontend and data teams on integration requirements
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Comfortable with version control and CI/CD practices
• Experience building and deploying REST APIs or similar services
• Solid understanding of databases, caching, and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Java, Go, or similar)
