Senior Compliance Officer

Horizon Health Solutions seeks a Senior Compliance Officer to lead regulatory compliance and risk management across healthcare operations. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert on healthcare regulations, ensuring the organization meets all federal and state requirements while maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires deep expertise in healthcare compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, FDA regulations, and evolving regulatory standards. You will develop policies, oversee audits, and implement systems that protect patient data and organizational integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance policies aligned with HIPAA, FDA, and other applicable healthcare regulations
• Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
• Oversee compliance audits and manage findings through closure
• Train staff on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on operational impact
• Manage compliance management system implementation and optimization

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare compliance or regulatory experience
• Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and compliance audits
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expert knowledge of HIPAA, FDA regulations, and healthcare compliance frameworks
• Legal background or relevant professional certification (CHPS, CHC) preferred
• Strong understanding of quality management systems in healthcare
