Senior Financial Controller

About this role

Horizon Health Solutions seeks a Senior Financial Controller to lead all financial operations and reporting for our healthcare organization. You will oversee accounting, financial planning, and compliance while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial activities. In this role, you will manage a finance team, develop financial strategies that support organizational goals, and ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements. You will partner with senior leadership to inform business decisions through clear financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and audit requirements
• Lead and mentor finance team members; manage department budget and performance
• Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for operational efficiency

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting or financial management experience, with healthcare exposure preferred
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software and financial systems
• CPA or equivalent accounting credential
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
• Leadership experience managing accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
