Data Engineer - Analytics Infrastructure

About this role

Paradise Hospitality Group is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines that power guest insights across our portfolio. You'll own the architecture and implementation of our analytics infrastructure, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization. In this role, you'll work with Apache Spark, Kafka, and PostgreSQL to process large volumes of hospitality data. You'll collaborate with analytics and product teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Kafka
• Develop and maintain data models in PostgreSQL; implement transformations with dbt
• Optimize data infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability
• Monitor pipeline health and implement alerting for data quality issues
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to define data requirements
• Document architecture decisions and maintain runbooks for pipeline operations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines
• Ability to balance speed of delivery with long-term system maintainability
• Demonstrated experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks
• Experience with workflow orchestration and monitoring tools
• Solid understanding of data modeling and dimensional design
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
