About this role
Velocity Trading Group seeks a mid-level DevOps Engineer to maintain and optimize our trading infrastructure. You will manage critical systems that support real-time trading operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across our technology stack. This role bridges development and operations, requiring both technical depth and collaborative problem-solving. You'll work with our Technology team to deploy, monitor, and improve infrastructure that powers our trading platform.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and optimize trading infrastructure and systems
- Monitor system performance, health, and availability; implement alerting and logging solutions
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes with minimal downtime
- Automate routine operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning
- Collaborate with engineers to improve deployment pipelines and operational efficiency
- Document infrastructure architecture and runbooks for team reference
Qualifications
- 3+ years of DevOps or systems engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix system administration
- Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Strong understanding of networking, monitoring, and log aggregation
