Velocity Trading Group is looking for an Operations Analyst to join our Operations team in Houston. You'll play a key role in supporting our trading operations and settlement processes, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. In this junior role, you'll gain hands-on experience in fast-paced trading environments while working alongside experienced operations professionals. You'll help monitor trades, reconcile positions, and support our settlement workflows to keep our business moving.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support daily trading operations and settlement activities
- Reconcile trade data and positions to ensure accuracy
- Assist with settlement process documentation and reporting
- Identify and escalate operational issues to senior team members
- Support ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and databases for trading operations
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable learning new software systems and trading platforms
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to ask questions and collaborate with team members
