Velocity Trading Group's Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial performance analysis and reporting. In this junior role, you will assist in preparing financial statements, analyzing trading metrics, and contributing to month-end and year-end close processes. You'll work with experienced finance professionals to develop analytical skills and gain exposure to trading business operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze financial performance data and identify key variances from budgets and forecasts
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations
- Compile and organize financial data for management presentations and stakeholder reporting
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned
- Maintain financial documentation and ensure compliance with reporting standards
Qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software and financial reporting tools
- Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
