Infrastructure Engineer

About this role

Horizon Health Solutions is seeking a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting our healthcare applications. You will work with the Engineering team to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems that meet regulatory and operational requirements. In this role, you will own core infrastructure components, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with software engineers to optimize deployment pipelines and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure for healthcare applications
• Manage infrastructure-as-code tools and configuration management systems
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents
• Collaborate with engineering teams on application deployment and scaling
• Document infrastructure architecture and operational procedures

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud infrastructure or DevOps experience
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA) is a plus
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration
