Safety Manager

Swift Logistics Network seeks an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee safety initiatives across our operations. In this senior role, you will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that protect our workforce and ensure regulatory compliance. You will work cross-functionally with operations, human resources, and management to establish safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and drive a culture of safety excellence. This position requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with federal, state, and industry regulations
• Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations to identify risks and corrective actions
• Lead safety training and awareness initiatives for all employee levels
• Maintain safety documentation, records, and metrics; prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies
• Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety into daily operations and capital projects
• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 7+ years of safety management experience in logistics, transportation, or related industrial environment
• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and occupational safety standards
• Proven ability to develop and execute safety programs that reduce incidents and improve compliance
• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
